Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

I follow the BACP professional code of conduct standards and guidelines regarding privacy. All information is held in the strictest confidence. At times, it is helpful for me to speak to another professional, such as your primary care doctor, but to do that I will need to discuss it with you first and get your permission. There are, however, rare exceptions to confidentiality, as mandated by law. These exceptions include situations when someone is a threat to him/her self or others, or when there is an indication of suspected child abuse, dependent adult or elder abuse.
